Misconception
Women seem to have this misconception that weight lifting for women will make them look like body builders.
This is not true.
It all depends on what your personal goals are and the type of programme your personal trainer gives you.
There are many types of prorammes for women for example…
- A toning programmers – Keeping your size but toning up any loose muscle / Skin.
- Strength, programme if you are happy with your body but are weak, then this programme, keeps your shape while strengthens the muscle fibres (not build them up.)
- Slimming programmes this is a combination of good nutrional diet, light weights and stretching and cardiovascular.
- Flexability programmes, this is a combination of muscle energy techniques / stretching and joint mobilization.
- A Body Building programme which consists of precise and comprehensive weight training techniques, pushing the body to its limits also combines like indept the nutrition for optimal muscle growth.
